Rosewell’s son, Sir Henry, offered it in 1649 to Sir Edmund Prideaux (d. 1659). Church
The George inn on the south side of Market Square happens by 1541 and has a steady historical past since. (fn. 105) The Swan or White Swan, at the junction of Market Square and Church Street, was larger within the seventeenth and 18th centuries.
